初二英语演讲稿：Confucius in My Eyes

尊敬的老师，同学们：

大家好，很高心有这次机会能够说一说我眼中的孔子。

众所周知，在中国历史长河中，孔子是一位伟大的思想家，教育家。 从他身上我学到了很多。

Honored teachers  my fellow students:

Good morning, I am glad to have this opportunity to talk about Confucius in my eyes.

As we know, Confucius is a great philosopher and educator in the long history of china.

I have learnt a lot from him.

首先，孔子曾经说：三人行，必有我师。 孔子教会了我与身边人要恭谦有礼---虚怀若谷，愿意倾听别人的意见，愿意与别人讨论，不仅得自己学，还要相互学习。

The first , Confucius said, “ When I  walk along with two others ,they may serve me as my teachers.”

Confucius taught me that I offer one another a very special courtesy—— the courtesy of an open mind, a willingness to listen , a willingness to discuss. I learn from myself, I learn from one another .

其次， 孔子曾说：“ 学而不思则罔，思而不学则殆” 孔子教会了我不仅要学还要思考。

The second  Confucius said,  Learning without thinking is labor lost, Thinking without learning is perilous. Confucius taught me that one person should not only learn but also think.

 孔子还说：“温故而知新。”在学习中，每年新学期开学前我都把新课本预习一遍，在开学后，我对知识的理解更加的深刻。

Confucius also said:  ”Review the old and know the new.” Before the start of each new semester in my studies, I preview the new textbooks, which enables me to have a deeper understanding of the knowledge when the school starts.

总之，在学习生活中，我学会了发扬团队精神，相互理解，相互尊重，这些都是我的精神财富。

最后，我想说：“ 吾爱吾师，吾更爱真理。“

All in all,  I learned about teamwork, understanding, and mutual respect in my learning and life .  These are all my spiritual treasures.    

At last, I  want to say:”Plato is dear to me, but dearer still is truth.”
