My favourite food is my grandma’s eight-treasure porridge, which carries warm family memories.

It looks colourful with red dates, peanuts and lotus seeds. It tastes sweet but not greasy, and smells fragrant. Every Laba Festival, grandma cooks it slowly for hours. When I was ill, she also made it to comfort me. The warm porridge always makes me feel loved.

This simple food is more than a dish to me. It’s the taste of home and the symbol of family care.
