Dear Sir or Madam,

I'm Li Hua, an exchange student from China. Having learned that you're looking for volunteers to monitor the water quality of the river, I'd like to be one of them.

In my hometown, my family have lived on a river for decades. I know how important the river is to people. The river to us is what milk to a baby. That is why I'm willing to join you in helping protect the river from being polluted through monitoring its water quality. I promise I will spare no effort to do the job and do it well.
