例一：a busy body

【误译】忙人

【正译】爱管闲事的人

【例句】None of us like him, for he is a busy body. 我们都不喜欢他，因为他爱管闲事。

例二：a black sheep

【误译】一头黑羊

【正译】害群之马

【例句】It is a small flock that has not a black sheep. 人多必有败类。

He is a black sheep in the family. 他是他家的败家子。

I suppose every family has a black sheep. 我想，每个家庭恐怕都有个败家子。

There's a black sheep in every flock. 每一个团体中都难免有害群之马。

Tom often makes noise in the class and is really a black sheep. 汤姆经常在班上吵闹，的确是个害群之马。

【例句】I thought he was pulling my leg. 我认为他是在愚弄我。

例四：eat one's words

【误译】自食其言

【正译】收回前言，改正错话

【例句】Don't brag so much. I guarantee you will eat your words sooner or later. 别说大话,我保证你迟早要收回前言,承认错误。

He said that no one could beat him, but he had to eat his words after losing several games. 他说没人能打败他,可是输了几场比赛后,他只好收回自己说的话。
